USAR Training (pre Covid). Here some of our team work in a collapsed building rig, in a small void, trying to free a patient from under a concrete slab. ![]()

The patient is trapped under the slab at the top right of the screen. The floor is on a gradient and the team can't even kneel up in the space. They're using hand tools to lift the slab and drive wedges and blocks underneath it to support it so they can free their patient. Out of shot one of our medics has squeezed up to the top of the void to make an assessment of the patients injuries.![]()

Training like this is made as realistic as possible to prepare the team for operating in challenging environments. Here the patients safety as well as that of the team have to be considered at all times!![]()
